Women in Science is a series on the Smithsonian Channel and they’ve got a brand new episode this weekend that I’m definitely going to check it out. The episode, “Running with the Wolves,” will be on Sunday night at 8 PM, and I’m planning to DVR it to watch after the Oscars. The Sunday show is featuring Gudrun Pflueger, a wolf biologist who fought some pretty daunting medical odds to realize her dream. In addition to having been within arm’s reach of a pack of Canadian wolves, scary enough, Pflueger battled brain cancer … successfully.
