American film director, producer and writer John Hughes brought us movies turned instant classics such as Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and more. The impact these films have had on fashion and pop culture is truly amazing. How did Hughes do it? His characters were created from feelings and experiences that all teenagers go through, and pretty much everyone can relate to the storylines.

He captured the essence of the 80’s not only through fashion, but also through pop songs that still resonate with fans. And… he introduced to all the Brat Pack celebs like Demi Moore, Anthony Michael Hall and Emilio Estevez.
And of course, who could forget Molly Ringwald, the red-headed starlet with loads of stylish taste and volcanic outfits. We think she’s looks fabulous in all her John Hughes movies, but we want to know which character’s style is your favorite:

Andie Walsh from Pretty in Pink – The alternative fashionista misfit pining over Mr. Popular.
Claire Standish from The Breakfast Club – The spoiled, rich, so-called-sophisticate who is in detention for skipping class.
Samantha Baker in Sixteen Candles – A 15-year old girl who’s crushing on the most popular boy in school, but he doesn’t even know she exists…and her family forgot her sweet 16!
